Contravention of Section 68 of the National
Credit Act 34 of 2005 and Criminal Prosecution
Ishaan Bundhoo,
You Jointly and Severally with S. A. Home Loans
deliberately with the intention of Causing
embarrassment to a Client which we believe was
racially motivated forwarded confidential and
sensitive Information via open email to a
corporate email address, which you were not
authorised to do.
This is in contravention of Section 68 of the
National Credit Act 34 0f 2005 and various
sections of the Consumer Protection Bill 68
of 2008 and in direct violation of
the Constitution of the Republic of South
Africa Act 108 0f 1996 and its various
amendments.
A Claim is being Prepared for damages to the
Value of R 5,000,000-00 ( Five Million Rand )
plus Additional Punitive damages
A detailed Complaint is being prepared and will
be filed with the National Consumer Commissioner
( NCC ) and the National Credit Regulator.( NCR
)
Because of the Serious nature of your actions
and the Damages you have caused a formal
complaint is being lodged with the National
Prosecuting Authority with the view to bringing
formal Criminal Charges against you and S. A.
Home Loans.
Value of Claim :
R 5,000,000-00 plus further Punitive damages plus a
Criminal conviction.

About 4 years ago I took out a mortgage with SA
Home Loans. At the time it was obligatory to
also insure the property through SA Home Loans,
which I duly did. I was fortunate enough to be
able to repay the mortgage within about 6 months
so I cancelled the Home Owners Cover and insured
through my regular broker. Unfortunately the SA
Home Owners Cover bills kept coming, and with
interest. As many times as I called SA Home
Loans, and as many times as they called me
demanding payment, nothing was ever resolved. I
sent their requested cancellation faxes and my
ID number several times and even spoke to
management, who seemed at a loss as to how to
cancel the policy. Even referring them to my
insurance broker did not help.
I finally sold the property in March this year.
Unfortunately SA Home Loans had also lost the
property's title deeds, which delayed the sale
by several weeks, but they made sure to request
the R 11 000+ outstanding in HOC premiums from
the conveyancer, which he promptly paid out -
unaware of the ongoing impass.
I am frustrated by the fact that SA Home Loans
have taken R11 305.54 from me and that even my
conveyancer has been unable to illicit a
response from them. I will never use them again
nor will my family..

S A Home Loans Credit department cannot
read |

Please be aware that if you are a self
employed person and try to get a bond
from them their credit department cannot
read. After I send a letter from my
registered accountant to them to confirm
my salary as well as my 2 years
financials, they told me after 2 weeks
of waiting to hear, that their credit
department cannot read my financials.
I
was approved with a 70% bond subject to
valuations, property was valued for more
than the purchase price but still they
had to wait 1 hour before my offer
expired to inform me that they cannot
understand how my financials work.
My accountant did send them a letter to
confirm all but they still cannot
understand. Don't try and speak to
someone in credit as the admin people
will tell you it is not a good idea.
Kevin Penwarden you should take note of
this as your people cannot read and
understand.
I will not deal with them ever again.
Non of my family or friends will ever
deal with them

Think again before going to S.A.H.L. |

Why I ever decided to move my bond to
S.A.H.L, well worse decision of my life! We
took our bond from STD bank to S.A.H.L. as
they gave us a number of options such as
Edge and quick cash etc.
So great we
went ahead and moved our bond. After
signing the papers we received 50% of
the money as quick cash (absolutely
wonderful). Then now 3 mnts later we get
a payout of R101 000, so i question
where the other 50k is. Then Std bank
refunds me 19k. Great there is still 30k
outstanding. Now after i signed for 300k
out CASH I get told oh sorry there is no
more money, plus we were suppose to get
back 14k cancellation fee as waited 3
months for registration .And we get a BTW
we charged you nearly 6k penalty for
quick cash which was never agreed to
with us So obviously these guys are
doing exactly what they want and who
cares we have to pay while they pocket
all the way. I will be stopping my bonds
debit order at the bank until I receive
the rest of our money. How do these
clowns expect me to pay a bond for an
extra 300k if I did not even receive the
full amount that i signed for. Perhaps
someone should investigate if half their
doings are legitimate ,as I am sure we are
not the first to be caught this way.
They are a bunch of Dishonest Indians
and you should keep away from them.

No Service |

To whom it may concern,
My Architect suggested I should try SA
Home Loans for a further loan on and to
transfer my bond from Standard Bank over
to SA Home Loans. I contacted SA H L and
spoke to Neil Puckeri, within 24 hours I
faxed all my relevant documents through.
It has been three weeks of trying to get
service out of him now, the only reply I
received was 'we cannot give you more
than the bank', no figures, no interest
rate info. I tried getting some proper
feedback by leaving sms as well as email
messages to no avail.
Now I gave up, as I have to admit that
SA H L does not want to do business with
me!
I guess my architect was wrong in his
assumption and I am certain Standard
Bank will assist me in their (usual)
professional manner.
I doubt whether I will even receive a
reply on this message, but I will
definitely not advise any individual or
company to use SA Home Loans! They are a
bunch of Dishonest Asians who don't know
what they are doing.

Passing the Buck
Guarantee What guarantee We don't keep
records
A faulty geyser was replaced through SA Homeloans three years ago. Now it's
faulty again and for a whole week I have
been struggling to have it replaced by
my insurance 'SA Homeloans' to no avail.
Apparantly its still under guarantee and
so the installer must replace it. Only
problem is SA Homeloans doesnt have any
records of the installer so I am left
for a whole week without any hot water
and a phone bill of several hundred
rands trying to sort out theit mess.
Professional NO!!! PATHETIC!!

POOR SERVICE EVEN WITH HIGH COURT ORDER |

I have a high court order that my ex
husband must remove our joint property
from my name - the house is in the
market and I will not receive any
benefit from the profit. He has been
paying the house on his own for the last
three years, which should prove that he
is able to afford this and will pay the
bond. Still, with the payments that are
up to date and the high court order, SA
Homeloans is refusing to grant him a
loan so that the house can be taken off
my name!! How pathetic, no one is
willing to assist and I'm referred to
one person after the other with no
result. It seems that will have to go
back to my attorney and court!!
It's a pity that they do not respond to
reports, but I'm not suprised. Maybe the
reports can help someone else decide not
to deal with them.

builder. |

After struggling for over a year to get
an increase loan from various banks
institutions, for the completion of the
second dwelling on our plot. Sa
Homeloans agreed to assist. An evaluator
was sent out and a loan was approved for
R2M but only the value for the switch
was released with another R197 000
bringing the outstanding loan to R1 041
000. We erected the roof with the
released amount but the total cost was
R249 700.00.
Upon the signing of the contract they
requested to have the NHBRC Certificate
for the second dwelling as part of the
agreement which we submitted to them.
When we applied for the next amount to
be released to pay our builder for the
work completed, they advised that they
could not as the second dwelling was not
occupied yet and they don’t give
building loans.
So, my question how then do we complete
the building? Why did they send an
evaluator who clearly saw that the
building was not completed? Why did they
request the NHBRC? How can they now
claim that they do not give building
loans?
Total amount owed for second dwelling,
50% completed were R964 264. We owe the
builder R335 000 – the rest we have
paid, this is surely more than 20%
upfront required

Useless Service |

I have a bond with SA Homeloans and have
had a perfect record since I open the
bond last year March. I recently tried
to lend a further MINIMAL amount for
refurbishments to the property and their
service is absolutely appaulling. They
do not respond to emails. When you call
they have different excuses and after 3
weeks of me trying to follow up on them,
they then inform me that im oustanding
documents they required, of which i was
first informed they have everything!
This service is useless and i would
highly recommend getting a bond with a
bank rather than wasting time with them!

BATTLE TO ACCESS ADDITIONAL FUNDS |

My application for further funding are
declined because of a misunderstanding
on the part of SAHL? I discovered that
my ITC record got tarnished due to a
mistake on the side of Trans Union. I
got blacklisted for an account at
Truworths which I was not responsible
for as the person the account belongs to
has a complete different I.D. number and
initials. I managed to sort the latter
and ABSA confirmed that I am not on ITC,
I also confirmed with Trans Union once
again. SAHL however still confirm that I
am blacklisted for Truworths this after
I requested them to obtain the latyest
ITC report. It seems as soon as I
overcame the last obstacle SAHL will
drop something else in front of me. The
next thing that came just as I thought
the I.T.C problem was solved, my utility
bill is aparently a problem. This got me
back to explaining again that our
neighbourhood got new meters and I am
now billed for the wrong meter! The next
thing according to SAHL my disposable
income is not enough! After re doing my
calculations I still get to the same
positive result and it does not make
sense to me. What is realy the problem
here? Discrimination?

loans.it has now been pending for 3
months ,first they want this cost
r35000.00 then they want that cost
r18000.00 then they dont like the way
the finacials are done cost r6000.00
later ,then they send me a approved in
priciple,then they say no
affordability.please dont waste a 7 th
time home owners time you people are a
blady joke south africa think twice
before you use these clowns they dont
know what what they want or what they
are doing.namly vania.
