Corporate South Africa Stop being Dishonest with the
South African Public
We see dishonestly on a daily basis from South
Africa Corporations from Retailers to Banks or Cell
Phone Companies.
Take the South African Public into your Confidence
and tell them the truth.
We have just had the BlackBerry blackout which was
handled by RIM in a disgraceful manner and includes
the three service providers Vodacom, MTN and Cell
C.
Two days ago we attempted to call from a Vodacom
cell phone to a MTN cell phone at 19h00. For 5
hours Vodacom used a prerecorded message which
stated that the
The Subscriber you have called is unavailable,
please try again later
This caused us extreme anixiety as the person
concerned would not have switched his cell phone off
, and with dangers of living in South Africa .caused
a major panic.
It was then reported that 200,000 Vodacom
subscribers ( I am sure it was closer to millions )
were unable to make outgoing calls because of a
Vodacom Problem. .
Why did Vodacom have a pre recorded honest message
saying Vodacom have a problem connecting to the
network and apologise for the debarcle. Why
misinform the Public of the facts..
At the same time I attempted to to use my ATM card
at a Standard Bank ATM and was informed by a printed
slip that I had entered the incorrect PIN number.
The actual fact was that the ATM machine had run out
of Cash .
When you consider that the ATM machine is in fact
run by the Banks Main Frame Computer the ATN was
aware of the fact that there was no cash in the
machine and should have advised the customer of this
before I inserted my card into the machine. A
Alternatilvy when I put the Card into the machine it
should have printed We are sorry but this machine
has run out of cash please try an alternative
machine and apologise for the inconvenience
caused.
Why does the Bank put the blame on the public about
inserting the incorrect pin number.
Shopping at a local Spar all credit cards were being
rejected by the FNB Credit card Machines. We
informed on the slip transaction rejected please
contact the Issueing authority.
Why not a honest message and state System down
and we apologise for the inconvenience .
I can write stories about the Medical Profession,
the legal Profession, the Medical Aids, MWEBs who
are all misrepresenting the facts to their Clients
on a daily basis.
We can put together a team who can assist Corporate
South Africa to gives themselves a better image.
Come on Corporate South Africa and others start
acting Professionally and Stop acting like thugs.
