I had a very unpleasant experience with this Anesthesiologist who works at the Donald Gordon and the MillPark Hospital. .From the time he entered my ward he made me feel uncomfortable. He tried to get me to pay him in advance and asked if I had a cheque book with me. He carried around scraps of paper in the form of Poor Photocopied Statements in his old suit case. He came into the ICU after the operation and demanded money from me He then sent a Statement which had no VAT number on it in very badly hand written scrawl to the the medical aid which they rejected as they could not read it. It took me 6 months to get a copy of the Bill, even though he was phoning me in the middle of the night and threaten me. I had to disconnect my phone. I will make sure that he is never used again.

This is the worst Doctor I have ever met. From the Time that he appeared at my my Bed side, I was very Concerned about my safety in the Operating Theatre. I had had four Botched Operations for a Hip Replacement, with a very serious Bone Infection caused at Sandton Clinic. I could see that my problems could well start all over again. He tried to get me to pay for his services in advance, asking if I had a cheque Book with me. He produced some scrap paper which were badly Photocopied Copies of Statements and he wanted to Invoice me out Before the operation..Little did I know that he had in fact made out the Invoice and sent it to the Medical Aid before the operation already..

When I came round in ICU, he was again at my bedside, demanding that I pay him. He had already called my wife demanding payment. The Medical Aid had rejected his account was illegible, badly written, back dated and had no VAT number on it. It would seem that he does not pay VAT although he earns well above the Minimum fees for VAT registration. Of all the Doctors at MillPark, who all sent in correct Bill as per the agreed Fees, Dr Nates has caused me more problems, than I have ever had before. I will make sure that I never use him again.

I met six other Patients at MillPark, all have had problems with Dr Nates and his Accounts with the Medical Aid.Complaints have been lodged with the HPCSA and SARS.
